Rev. Renée Lloyd Owen is the Endorser & Director of Chaplaincy & Pastoral

Counseling Ministries for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (“CBF”). Renée is the 3rd

Endorser in CBF’s 25 years of endorsing chaplains and pastoral counselors and is the

first women to serve in this role where she oversees the endorsement process for

chaplains and pastoral counselors serving in a diversity of specialized settings,

including coaching and mentoring seminary students and ministers through the

credentialing process. Beyond endorsement, Renée focuses on journeying with CBF-

endorsed chaplains and pastoral counselors to hear, honor, and uplift their stories as

they continue the sacred ministry of offering emotional support and spiritual care to

persons in need. She is passionate about providing ongoing professional, emotional,

and spiritual support to endorsed chaplains and pastoral counselors, serving as a

“chaplain to the chaplains,” as well as offering continuing education opportunities for

growth and expansion of their knowledge of the newest developments in the spiritual

and pastoral care field.
